Now here is a kick off keynote for educators all!
Do you believe in yourself?

The YouTube video with Dalton…his image and message is a powerful one. He projects with the directness of youth, but the polished mannerisms of a politician or inspirational speaker! His message of consideration for ALL of us who can extend that message of “I believe in you!” , no matter what niche we fill here at AVS, is a positive start for our new school year. We know how to do this at AVS.
I believe in that young man’s ability. What a powerful orator for so young. And, of course, his message is right on. We all need to believe in the children, our peers, ourselves and even the “system.” Although it does need to evolve too. Thanks, Than for sharing.
I agree with you Nancy.
AVS certainly has much of what Dalton is reminding us of as we get started with a new year. I believe in “us” and am really looking forward to the year.
Nancy thanks for taking the step to leave a comment “just to prove to yourself that you can” That is the “belief” that we all need.
You did it!!
Thanks so much for sharing this! I kinda wish we’d seen it together at staff meeting. What an inspiration! You ARE the heart and soul teachers he talks about. Moment-to-moment I am inspired by “our” teachers, support personnel, and students. This video reminds me that we’re also part of something bigger…and that’s deeply moving!
